 About VMESO™

The VATSIM Middle East Division requires that all Military and Special Operations Activities come under the close supervision of the VATSIM Middle East Special Operations subdivision. The subdivision handles the following types of activity:

 VMESO™ Regulated Activity

Fighter Aircraft Operation | Diplomatic Operations | Special Military Operations | Airshows

 General Operations Notice

All pilots on the VATSIM Network can generally engage in aerobatics operation in single engine, propeller aircraft. Fighter aircraft, however, due to their increased performance and real world restrictions, are heavily regulated. Just like in the real world, nobody can simply get into the cockpit of an F-16 and go for a spin. As a result, fighter aircraft operations require the approval of the VMESO office. Moreover, pilots cannot simulate hijackings, bombing runs, or any operation of fighter aircraft in a manner that is reflective of ongoing conflicts or war. Such activities will result in an immediate ban from the network.
